頭痛的國際標準分類
頭痛的種類非常多，症狀也是因人而異，所以要將頭痛作一個完整的區分並不容易，但是要想有效治療頭痛必須要了解病患頭痛的屬性，為了讓醫界有治療依據，國際頭痛協會(The
International Headache Society)於1988年制定了「頭痛、顱神經痛及顏面痛之分數與診斷基準」，將頭痛分為13種，並將每一種頭痛的操作型定義做清楚的描述：

偏頭痛
(Migraine)
• 緊縮型頭痛
(Tension-type headache)
• 叢發性頭痛和慢性發作性單側頭痛
(Cluster headache and chronic paroxysmal hemicrania)
• 與血管性病患有關之頭痛
(Headache associated with vascular disorder)
• 與非血管性顱內患疾有關之頭痛
(Headache associated with non-intracranial disorder)
• 與頭部外傷有關之頭痛
(Headache associated with head trauma)
• 與代謝性患疾有關之頭痛
(Headache associated with metabolic disorder)
• 與物質(食物､藥物及其它化學物質)服用或戒斷有關之頭痛
(Headache associated with substances or their withdrawn)
• 與頭顱、頸、頭、耳、鼻、鼻竇、牙、口，其他面部或頭部疾患有關之頭痛或顏面痛
(Headache or facial pain associated with disorder of cranium, eyes, ears, nose, sinuses, teeth, mouth or other facial or cranial structures)
• 顱部神經痛、神經幹痛及感覺截斷後疼痛
(Cranial neuralgia﹐nerve trunk pain and deafferentation pain)
• 與非頭部感染有關之頭痛
(Headache associated with non-cephalic infection)
• 其他各式非解剖學結構病變之頭痛
(Miscellaneous headaches unassociated with structural lesion)
• 無法歸類的頭痛
(Headache not classifiable)
